Canaan History Center

About

The Canaan History Center houses historical documents and artifacts generously donated by individuals detailing the history and evolution of Canaan, North Canaan and East Canaan. The Canaan History Center is open 9am-12pm on Friday's or by appointment with the Town Historian Kathryn Boughton. Donations of historical documents and artifacts are greatly appreciated. No document or artifact is too new to be appreciated.

The Canaan History Center is housed in the former Roraback Law Office Building. The building, built in the 1840s by the Roraback Family, was donated to the Canaan Foundation by Attorney Catherine Roraback.
